Rangabhasha is a cultural organisation that facilitates in the area of performing and visual arts. We believe in consistent learning while exploring. Rangabhasha is a platform open for aspirants to identify, develop and nurture their abilities and interests and explore new possibilities through ventures and collaborations. We also help, design and execute various programs/workshops which fulfils requirements of organisations, institutions and of an individual too.
Rangabhasha has two primary intents –
To create awareness about Importance of art education
To develop the link between Creations, Creators and Audiences in all kinds of performing and visual art forms, while maintaining good values of entertainment
To practice our motto, we organise and curate various workshops, walk throughs, meet ups and performances that brings like minded people together, where the process of various performing and visual arts can be experienced, discussed and learnt together.
Founder-Director
Amrut Samak is a Founder Director of ‘Rangabhasha’. He has completed his Masters in theatre arts. He is a freelance theatre practitioner, working as an actor, director and facilitator. He started as an actor in 1987 (at the age of 5 years) and has been facilitating and directing since 2007.
As a director and facilitator he is associated with several renowned organizations like ‘Maharashtra Cultural Centre’, ‘IPTA, Pune’, ‘Bharat Natya Sanshodhan Mandir’, ‘IAPAR’, ‘Symbiosis international School (IB)’, ‘Rotary Club of Pune- Shivaji Nagar and Pune south’, ‘Ekalavya Nyas’, ‘Snovel’, ‘BookHungama’, ‘Sangam Rangabhumi’, ‘Rangagandha Kalasakta Nyas, Chalisgaon’, ‘Theatre resource’ and ‘Jnana Prabodhini Prashala, Pune’.
He has directed more than 15 plays and a couple of documentaries, short films. He is working as a faculty. He is working as a faculty – Creative writing and Theatre Arts at ‘Jnana Prabodhini Prashala’ since 2015 and also as a trainer with ‘W. N. Dandekar Teachers Training Centre’. He has designed and conducted workshops for various communities and institutions like ‘Apte Deaf and Dumb school’, ‘Athashri Forest Trails’, ‘Athashri Baner’, ‘Athashri Bavdhan’, Students of ‘PUNE Municipal Corporation Schools’, ‘MSETCL (Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Ltd.)’.
He is one of the creative brains behind uniquely designed workshops and programmes organized by Rangabhasha. Also, he is a member of Forum for Theatre Training and Education (FTTE), International Theatre Institute.
